About The Role:

Mon-Fri, 37.5hrs.

Shifts - Days hrs / hrs alternating weeks

£22,400.


HMP Oakwood are recruiting for an ISMS Healthcare Assistant to work under the supervision of our ISMS prescriber and ISMS Nurse Lead.

The post holder will assist the team in the delivery and development of substance misuse services within the establishment.

  • Under the supervision of the ISMS team the post holder will assist with the delivery and development of substance misuse service within HMP Oakwood
  • To provide ongoing support for problematic substance users in custody.
  • To assist in the delivery of planned programmes of care, to promote healthy lifestyles and maximize independence in substance misuse prisoners within the prison community.
  • To assist in the administration of medications

About You:


  • L3 Health and Social Care qualification along with experience and knowledge of working with substance users
  • The ability and enthusiasm to promote change and motivate problematic substance users.
  • To have a range of skills relevant to working with other professionals and offenders including interpersonal skills, team working, record keeping and communication.
  • The ability to manage, organise and prioritise your workload.

You'll receive an annual salary up to £
22400 per annum - dependent on experience.
