Here at BES Utilities, we have a new and exciting role available for a Project Manager to join the Change & Delivery team within our offices in Fleetwood.


The Project Manager role is to support the wider Change & Delivery team with all project activity on the continuous improvement roadmap.

Focused on our customer journey and reduction in complaint volumes; the role will work on regulatory, government, IT& operational change projects to ensure business compliance whilst focused driving overall business performance; which in turn reduces churn and increases customer engagement.

The role is based within our Fleetwood site with some travel to our Manchester office as required.


Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Acts as conduit between the Change team and project sponsors/key stakeholders
  • Manage communications between stakeholders and internal business units with assigned activity
  • Organise and facilitate project status, team and working meetings ensuring completion of project milestones/tasks & project closedown
  • Creating and updating project plans, monitoring an ensuring project progress remains on track, within timeline, requirements, and budget
  • Lead project walkthroughs, business requirements gathering, design walkthrough, functional test plans and implementation sessions
  • Coordinating completion of supporting documentation across multiple projects including; scope/requirements, agendas, notes and actions, RAID log etc ensuring accurate and up to date
  • Conducting project reviews, preparing, and distributing status reports, ensuring internal and external stakeholders receive adequate communication
  • Proactively assist in identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks ensuring quality standards are met
  • To develop and support our continuous improvement agenda & change initiatives in line with our monthly customer feedback and known customer requirements
  • Work with the Training team to ensure clear engagement on pipeline of change/project activity
  • ROI tracking following project delivery to ensure relevant KPI, quality, financial etc improvements have been as expected vs. cost to deliver.

Role Requirements:


  • Essential_
  • Extensive endtoend Project Management experience including customer facing operational / project delivery
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and writing proposals
  • English & Maths GCSE Grades A-C
  • Desirable_
  • Understanding of the Energy sector and industry trends
  • PRINCE2 or Agile qualified
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of projects is an advantage
