We are currently recruiting a Head of Minor Works to join our Capital Design & Delivery Leadership team, leading and delivering a range of Capital Programmes to time, cost and quality.

This role can be based from our Coventry or Derby offices.


EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW


Reporting directly to the Capital Programme Director, the Head of Minor Works will be accountable for the end-to-end leadership and delivery of the various minor programme across Severn Trent's capital works project portfolio to time and to budget.

You will work closely and collaboratively with a large and diverse supply chain including small to medium size enterprises.

Forming a crucial part of our Capital Delivery & Design leadership team, you will drive real efficiency through sustained performance improvement and innovative ways of working.

You will provide inspirational leadership to deliver a step change in performance to secure delivery of the large scale and complex capital portfolio.

Instilling industry best practice, you will be passionate about Safety and utilise our specialist design teams and third parties effectively to ensure our complex programmes are delivered at speed within the required criteria.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders you will grow the businesses capacity and capability to help shape our longer-term strategy ensuring your teams are set up for success entering the next business planning period.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE


Ideally you will have experience in an asset intensive industry, such as water, rail, highways, nuclear, utilities, telecoms or similar.

You will have a proven track record of successfully taking ownership and managing the end-to-end delivery of large, complex multi-disciplinary projects, and experience of working collaboratively with contract partners, internal and external stakeholders and a multi-disciplined team.

You will have a proven track record in developing and delivering through highly capable, high performing teams and a record of operating in an asset intensive industry where programme activity, innovation and process are key.

You will also have proven portfolio of work delivering strong financial and operation success in multi-faceted organisations.

You will be an inspirational leader, with the ability to build and influence relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels of the business.
