- · To take the lead and work with internal and external services and professionals to ensure continuity of care for children and young people, maintaining professional relationships with young people, individuals with parent responsibility, social workers, teaching staff and other professionals involved in the care of children and young people; attending meetings as required.

- · With support from your line manager use the homes rota to manage your training commitments and annual leave responsibilities effectively, ensuring that you are proactive and use initiative to ensure that all working hours are used effectively. Role modelling flexibility where practicably possible to support the home in covering rotas.

- · Act as a leader amongst the staff team, supporting colleagues and being prepared to receive support as necessary
- · To communicate positively and constructively about the children and young people, colleagues, and organisation at all times
- · To facilitate effective handovers, actively monitoring and providing feedback to staff and line manager about the quality of handovers.
- · Make use of regular supervisions and consistently demonstrate the skills to engage in personal reflection about the impact of the working on one's own feelings, one's colleagues and about one's own strengths and weaknesses.
- · Utilise written communication effectively to share significant information with colleagues, line managers and other relevant professionals in a timely fashion.

Description
Job Title: Residential Support Worker - Children's Home
Responsible to: Registered Home Manager via Deputy Manager
Salary & Package:
GBP 14.00 per hour for 165 hours per month
Sleep in allowance addition to basic above at GBP 60 per sleep.
Hours: on a rota basis with circa 165 hours per month including sleep ins per rota basis (paid separate @ GBP 60 per sleep). Overtime shifts are available.
