We are excited to share a permanent job opening for a Maintenance Technician with Electrical Bias at our client's site, UK's largest designer and in-house manufacturer of a wide range of products such as Stationery, Creative Play, Gifting and products for life'simportant occasions.

Salary:
£36,243 per annum
Shifts: 12 hour shift, rotation of Day and Night, including every other weekend workThe Maintenance Technician will assist the Maintenance Shift Team Manager by carrying out both Planned and Reactive maintenance to Plant, Machinery and Equipment within the Manufacturing Department.
The Maintenance Technician understands, encourages and carries out the principles of Health & Safety and takes personal responsibility for safety.
Works harmoniously with others to get a job done and responds positively to instructions and procedures.Key responsibilities:
- Accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters.
- Investigate and report back all incidents (spills, accidents, poor performance, quality issues etc).
- Liaise with the manufacturing team on shift to ensure optimum performance of equipment.
- Generate reports for the Maintenance Shift Team Leader, highlighting areas for Improvement.
- Act as an 'expert' in their section / area of responsibility.
- Ensure that Quality standards are achieved and maintained.
- Direct and support other members of the team.
- Create a new culture of 'pride' and 'ownership' in the new technology and equipment installed.
- Have a proactive approach to Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
- Be flexible, adaptable and prepared to work any shift pattern necessary to support the production demands in all manufacturing areas.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Analysis and repairs to machinery, with a bias on electrical issues, to ensure minimum loss regarding production output.
- Carry out electrical and where required mechanical machine maintenance at appropriate times.
- Repairs to machine parts as necessary.
- Ensure all work is carried out to an acceptable standard before being handed back to production.
- Observe safe working practices in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act.
- Monitoring of the production floor to assess problem areas and take appropriate action.
Experience in the following disciplines:
- Mechanical fault analysis and repair
- Electrical fault analysis and repair
Essential Criteria:
- Electrical bias
- Positive attitude and be selfmotivated
- Ability to work on their own initiative
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to offer positive feedback to overcome current issues, for continuous improvement within Manufacturing
- Flexibility regarding holiday cover, seasonal working, overtime and unforeseen absence as required
