Accounts Apprenticeship Opportunity
Location: 21 station Road, Watford, WD17 1AP

Hours: 20 hours a week (working pattern tbd)


Salary:
£19,500 FTE, £9,750 actual


Job Purpose


Twin Technology have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Accounts Assistant to gain real world experience whilst studying for their recognized accountancy qualifications.

Having previously, successfully supported an apprenticeship scheme, we now have the opportunity again to welcome someone into the team.


Responsibilities

  • Code & Post Invoices & Reconcile to Supplier Statements.
  • Log & maintain any disputes against invoices with suppliers.
  • Ensure supplier payments are made as per policy.
  • Maintain the Petty cash & Staff Expenses.
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
  • Sales Ledger
  • Issue Sales invoices to customers
  • Issue Customer statements
  • Credit Control ensuring receivables are collected in line with agreed terms.
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
  • Bank Accounts
  • Record cash receipts and make bank deposits.
  • Conduct a daily reconciliation of all bank accounts.
  • Produce & Update Daily the rolling Cashflow Forecast
  • Ad Hoc duties

Requirements and skills

  • Working towards an AAT Certificate in Accounting
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts software
  • Desirable
  • Good Excel skills
  • Attention to details.
  • Time management skills
  • Confidentiality

Job Types:

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:
£9,750.00 per year
