We are looking for a Bar Staff member who can take full control of the financial performance and day to day running of the bar. This is a hands on role that mixes leadership, admin, and practical work. You'll keep the operation efficient, profitable, and consistent while delivering a strong customer experience every time.

We run major live music events and the bar moves at pace, so you need to be confident working in a high energy environment.

The ideal candidate understands bar management inside out, knows how to set and hit targets, and brings a positive, team driven attitude. Strong product knowledge across beers, wines, and spirits is essential.

You must hold a Personal License to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and motivate staff while monitoring performance and enforcing procedures
• Carry out regular stock takes, place orders, and track stock levels
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure all health and safety regulations are met
• Manage deliveries, beer lines, and cellar conditions
• Stay up to date with licensing legislation and liaise with relevant authorities
• Work within budgets, maximise profitability, and manage cash flow
• Work with door/security staff and handle difficult customer situations
• Minimise and investigate any cash or stock discrepancies

Main Tasks:

• Create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
• Meet, greet, and serve customers professionally and quickly
• Change kegs, take deliveries, and restock the bar
• Serve drinks, clear tables, and maintain a clean environment
• Support preparation and delivery of large live music events
• Work closely with the wider venue management team
• Report any damage or equipment issues

Criteria:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths
• 2+ years bar or hospitality management experience (preferred)
• Must hold a valid Personal Licence
• Driving licence preferred

Job Details:

Full time, permanent position (35 to 40+ hours per week)

Pay: Competitive and based on experience, discussed at interview
