The Role
Drumbeat School is currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants, you may be required to work at any of our sites. This is an exciting time to join the school as we are expanding. We offer a great place to work.

We have an exciting curriculum, a great staff team and provide lots of support, guidance, friendship and fun for all our staff.

Drumbeat is a state of the art special school for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) from 4 to 19.

Drumbeat is more than a school, it is acknowledged as an outstanding hub for (ASD) support for Lewisham.

It takes a leading role in the provision of outreach support for children (and their families) in mainstream schools and Early Years Centres.

We are continually striving to develop our work with our pupils, parents and carers, the local community and the schools we provide specialist support though our Outreach team and the training we offer.

What qualities are we looking for?
Experienced Teaching Assistants who have worked with students with Autism. English and Maths qualification at GCSE level or above.

Excellent communication skills, innovative, creative practitioner, experience of special educational needs, flexibility and reliability, high levels of motivation, imagination and enthusiasm to promote strong and effective teamwork.
