Responsibilities:
- Oversee accurate submission of estimate, actual, and midterm headcount claims within Local Authority (LA) deadlines, escalating issues as per Funding protocols.
- Record new LA rate notifications for the team's centres and supervise LA info gathering processes.
- Submit Childcare Grant, Milk, and Care to Learn claims regularly.
- Authorise and supervise funding transfers, supporting the Funding Manager in transitioning centres.
- Delegate team duties, resolve complex queries, and implement process improvements.
- Conduct regular team meetings, provide encouragement, and support team development.
- Assist with Local Authority Audits, recruitment, and performance reviews.
- Monitor team holiday requests, address conflicts, and ensure SLA adherence.
- Produce and analyse KPIs, attend Team Leader meetings, and handle ad hoc duties as needed.
- Minimum of 4 year's experience working within a finance environment.
- Experience in a similar team leadership role
- Practical experience with Nurserycare or other billing systems is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively without supervision.
- Excel knowledge to intermediate level is essential.
- Ability to manage workloads and prioritise based on matter of importance to ensure deadlines are met.
