Product Assembler

Fahr industries is a World Class, Design, Manufacturing & Assembly company on the outskirts of Salisbury.

We supply interactive play equipment across the globe, educating and helping children learn and play using our unique, vibrant and exiting in-house designed products.

We are unique in what we do, our products and services, therefore we are looking for an Assembler, or, a likeminded self-skilled person to join the team.

Assemblers build in house designed and precision machined parts using Engineering plastics and Electronics into semi-complex and complex products, ensuring all parts fit correctly, tested and of a sound quality.

Good dexterity is needed as the assembly of products is carried out by hand, and using light hand held tools such as a drill, impact driver, sockets and wrenches to do the job with greater precision.

Assemblers will also be trained to use fixed cutting and processing equipment, such as a linisher, pillar drill, band saw and circular saw equipment; materials that are processed by assemblers range from Engineering plastics, Wood, to Stainless steel tubing and steel threaded rod.

Full training and guidance is provided on site.
Daily tasks.

Use electronic touch screen computers to guide you through the build cycle of products
Use supplied bill of materials to collect and collate fixings for assemblies
Collect materials and equipment needed to begin the process
Take steps to ensure perfect fit of components
Align material and put together parts to build more complex parts and units
Check components and assembled items to ensure sound quality
Ensure workstation and tools are kept in order and well maintained
Report issues, malfunction or defective parts

Salary:
From £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
