An industry leading organisation are looking for a Head of Data to join them to provide strong technical and strategic leadership to a multifaceted team. In this role you will report directly to the company CIO and provide strong guidance in areas such as data engineering, data analysis, visualisation and reporting, data governance and data science. You will have responsibility for defining company strategies for all of these areas with a particular focus on data science as the organisation are looking to revolutionise the way it uses data.
You will be involved in leveraging the way that the organisation uses its data as they look to migrate their data platform to the cloud. This organisation have multiple offices across the UK but also several international offices in Europe, Australia and America. This role will provide you with the platform to impact operations across ever market they operate. This is a very varied role, but one where success will involve ensuring the organisation reaches its goal of becoming truly data driven.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas.- Lead and manage a diverse team of up to 10 tech professionals

Work closely with senior stakeholders including the Csuite to shape the data strategy across the business
Provide the business with recommendations on all things data and providing the best data solutions for all departments

This is a salaried role paying up to £100,000 per year depending on experience. This is a hybrid role based out of the organisation's office in Newcastle. The role will also involve travel to the organisation other UK office in London. This role is also eligible for the organisation's discretionary bonus scheme alongside the company benefits package. This package includes generous holidays allowance, competitive pensions scheme and other benefits.
To be successful in this role you will have experience of the following tools and technologies.- Experience leading a team of data professionals

Strong experience working with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake)
Previous experience working with Data Science techniques
