Highway Maintenance Drainage Operatives on the, you'll work with true experts who'll share their knowledge and provide support, encouragement and invaluable feedback so you never stop learning.
What you'll be doing Role purpose**:
Responsible for carrying out a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to drainage work, kerb laying and footway improvements, laying and compacting asphalt & foam base, vegetation clearance, excavating holes and trenches and working with vacuum excavators.
- All to a high standard, safely and at a commercial pace.As a Highway Maintenance Operative, your main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Working within a culture of Zero Harm
- embedding the 4 Golden Rules within all aspects of service delivery;
- Report all observations
- Close Calls and Good Practices;
- Compliance with all statutory and company procedures across all the functions, specifically H & S;
- Develop and maintain good working relationships across all teams;
- Carry out a broad range of Highway maintenance activities safety, efficiently and to a high standard;
- Conduct operational activities against required quality standards
Who we're looking for The following qualities and experience are essential**:
- Driving licence
- Health and Safety first
- Takes pride in work
- Honest / Acts with integrity
- Flexibility of working overtime or shift patterns to meet business requirements
The following qualities and experience are desirable:
- EUSR Level 2, 3, 4, & 5 in excavation
- Confined Space Training
- Highway Maintenance, Groundworks or Construction experience
- Class 1 or Class 2 LGV Licence
- NRSWA Training
- CSCS Highway Maintenance
