Assistant to the Directors
TECS Group is a specialist provider of technology-led building compliance services across the UK.
We have offices in Central London, West Midlands and Manchester and work for customers in the public and private sectors.
Hours of work:
This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role will be based from Bramley, Guildford with some UK travel required.
We would expect that travel to the company's London office will be required 1/2 times per week (sometimes less if the Directors are travelling).
We also offer flexible working arrangements with the ability to work-from-home as required.Start date:
As soon as practical.
Reporting:
You will report directly to the Co-CEO's and be expected to work closely with the three Heads of Department. Comprehensive training across all required tasks will be provided as part of the induction process.
Main duties and responsibilities:
This role will include a variety of tasks including (but not limited to) the following:
Ad-hoc support to the Co-CEO's including general administration
Arranging travel and diary management
HR administration/ maintaining employee records via HR Management software and assistance with employee onboarding process
Maintaining company policies
Management of the company's fleet of vehicles to include migrating this to a new fleet management system
Management of the company's fuel cards
Assistance with submission of overtime records to Financial Controller for monthly payroll
Maintaining Employee Handbook and supporting policies
Annual renewals and administration of insurance policies
Organisation of company events
Maintaining company accreditations (ISO 9001/ 14001, Cyber Essentials, Living Wage)
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role (ideally within an SME)
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with HR administration
Excellent written English skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to prioritise work, remain calm and maintain standards when under pressure
Ability to take initiative, and when necessary, ability to be assertive
Competent user of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other cloud-based software platforms
Remuneration, annual leave and benefits:
£35,000+ per annum dependent on experience. Group pension. Flexible working arrangements. 24 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays)
