Imperial Professionals are working in partnership with a national Training Provider who are looking to appoint a
National Learning and Development Coach - Youth Support Workerworking remotely covering various areas.


Overview:


Responsible for delivering outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices that engage and inspire apprentices to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully achieve their Apprenticeship Standard.


Duties:


  • Undertake learner induction and identification of training and support needs to ensure the appropriate training is identified for the learner and identify whether additional support is required, and the learner is on the correct level and Apprenticeshipstandard.
  • Carry out a robust review of current knowledge, skills and behaviours to ensure that any recognised prior learning is identified, and a suitable learning plan is applied.
  • Carry out initial and diagnostic assessment of Maths and English
  • To ascertain the correct level of support and teaching for the learner. You will be responsible for delivering Functional Skills and ensuring the Apprentice needs are met appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Effectively plan and deliver an Apprenticeship programme that enables the learner to demonstrate the appropriate skills, knowledge and behaviours that are aligned to the relevant Apprenticeship standard.
  • Prepare the Apprentice to be able to demonstrate consistently that they have met the required sector set professional standards enabling them to be supported through gateway to end point assessment.
  • Be fully conversant with the End Point Assessment Plan relevant to the Apprenticeship Standard. You will support the Apprentice for readiness for end point assessment by ensuring that they are capable and confident in all expected end point assessment methods.
  • Plan and monitor learners Off the Job Training (OTJT) requirements, based on learner's programme of learning, to ensure this meets funding body regulations.
  • Be able to write and develop appropriate lesson plans, schemes of work and learning resources that stretch and challenge Apprentices and support the achievement of learning outcomes.
  • Deliver appropriate IAG throughout the programme and to support the learner with their progression route following completion of the programme.
  • Maintain regular contact with your manager and ensure electronic diaries are updated regularly and as appropriate.
  • Attend team, standardisation caseload reviews and One to One meeting.
  • Be available for OTL, IQA, EQA, and Ofsted visits as required.
  • Complete CPD records appropriately and timely.
  • Ensure learner progress reports are kept up to date and are correct and submitted to Manager.

Requirements:


Essential

  • Previous experience working within Work Based Learning Sector and delivering Youth Support Worker Standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Ofsted EIF requirements.
  • Apprenticeship Standards and EPA Processes.
  • Qualified to A1 Assessor Award/TAQA or equivalent (essential)
  • Degree in Youth Work (essential)

Desirable

  • Teaching qualification i.e. Cert Ed/AET (desirable)
  • Functional Skills Level 2 English, Maths and ICT or other equivalent qualification (desirable)
