The Dynamatic Technologies facility in Swindon, UK, has over 50 years of experience in the design and manufacture of Gear Pumps and supplies products to Agricultural, Construction and On-Highway vehicle manufacturers.

Products include Combined Variable and Fixed Displacement Pump Packages, Temperature Controlled Fan Drive Systems and Fixed Displacement Pumps in Aluminum and Cast iron with a range of additional integrated valve option


Purpose of the role
Working within the Assembly and Test area progressing hydraulic gear pumps predominantly for the agricultural market through to Despatch.


Specific responsibilities

  • Support with daytoday duties within the Assembly & Test Department, including allocation of staff to ensure on time delivery to Despatch.
  • Highlight any people related issues within the area to your Shift Supervisor & Assistant Production Manager at the earliest opportunity.
  • To work within the Assy & Test dept in a Production capacity as required by the Assistant Production Manager.
  • Work in conjunction with the process engineer to help create and develop standard operating procedures, to assist in the training of employees within the department.
  • Review Risk Assessments in the area in line with any changes to equipment or processes.
  • Liaise with Assistant Production Manager to understand the shift requirements each day.
  • Direct Material Handler in area requirements to support production on a daytoday basis.
  • Ensure that productivity & efficiency is maximised wherever possible.
  • Maintain tooling / fixtures in the dept, plus communicate any maintenance repairs to ensure optimum usage of machines & equipment.
  • Active involvement with Lean activities such as 5 's' + 1, general housekeeping, Total Productive Maintenance and Continuous Improvement opportunities.

Experience

  • Ability to build pumps
  • Sound technical knowledge of Assembly & Test department
37 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4pm, Friday 7am to 12pm.
