A growing manufacturing company based in Loughborough are looking for a number of experienced Stores people to complete the following.


Responsibilities:


  • Day to Day running of our busy stores department
  • Managing Stock levels using our internal stock system
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal members of the team
  • Managing deliveries and goods in
  • Taking care of dispatches
  • Storing goods in the designated areas
  • Unloading & Loading stock by hand or by forklift in a safe efficient manner
  • Preparation of stock, picking and checking.
  • Researching cost saving within the stores department
  • Ordering stock on time to a strict budget.
  • Keeping the stores and workspace area clean and tidy

Skills and Specifications

  • Have the confidence and competency of managing stock levels to a strict budget
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work as an individual or as part as a team
  • Reliable and conscientious
  • Physically fit
  • Be an excellent communicator with colleagues and all levels of staff along with a professional telephone manner when dealing with suppliers and contacts externally.
  • Have the ability to conduct all work tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Should be familiar with all safety rules of a workshop and associated processes
  • Keen interest in Manufacturing
  • Flexible approach to working hours when required
  • Experience within the commercial body building sector an advantage but not essential
  • Forklift license preferred
  • Windows experience essential
  • Orderwise stock system experience preferred but not essential
  • Must be able to communicate efficiently with management to ensure productivity is maximised.
  • Follow through on all reasonable management requests
This is a temp to perm position paying £12 per hour for 40 hours a week


Job Type:
Temp to perm

Contract length: 12 weeks


Salary:
From £12.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Loughborough: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
