We have an exciting opportunity to join our ward service team as a customer service apprentice whilst working as a ward service officer.

This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) will involve cleaning wards/departments/general areas and delivering meals to
patients.


Apprenticeship entry requirements:

may not be shortlisted.

During the apprenticeship training programme, you will work towards achieving the requirements of the personal specification. The off the job training will be provided in house; all training will be within Contracted working hours. The apprenticeship will generally take approximately 15 months to complete, including end point assessment. On completion of the apprenticeship programme and meeting the
necessary work standard, this role will move to NHS Agenda for Change Band 2

The main duties are cleaning wards, departments and general areas to a high standard. This includes cleaning of sanitary areas i.e bathroom and W/C's. The use of industrial cleaning machines i.e scrubber dryers and floor polishers etc.

Ward Services also provide food and beverage services to in-patients.

Full training will be given but a minimum of 1 years cleaning experience is required. Previous catering experience is desirable.
