1st Line Support Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and technical expertise relating to build, test, and deployments for Engineering Systems upgrade and maintenance projects
- Ensure that all Engineering Systems upgrade work is carried out in the day and the resource(s) will be working with the Project Manager for coordination / point of reference
- Provide 1st Line Technical Businessasusual support when required
- Create and maintain technical documentation to support Engineering Systems architectures and IT Services
- To schedule upgrade deployments if required
- Contacting End User and arranging time/date of install
- Determine Software Requirements
- Updating Old/New Asset Details
- To install, reinstall or configure software
- To image, configure and deploy new computers
- To provide support to the Group IT Engineering systems service desk:
- Provide remote assistance over the phone and via use of remote support tools
- Talking staff through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to process and interpret complex technical information
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and manage own workload to meet project deadlines
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others
- Strong problemsolving skills
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
