Akton recruitment has an opening for a Senior S106 Officer

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:


To lead on the preparation, implementation, delivery and subsequent reviews of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) charging schedule, Regulation 123 List and the supporting viability studies and infrastructure plan, in consultation with partners.

Senior S106 Officer

To lead on the development of the corporate governance systems required to prioritise, manage and monitor the expenditure of financial developer contributions arising from CIL and s106 Agreements, and identify other funding sources in order to achieve bestvalue.

To support Development Management in the negotiation of s106 agreements alongside the levying of CIL.

To provide advice on CIL & s106 issues and other related matters by telephone, correspondence and to members of the public.


COUNCIL SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
MANAGEMENT OF PEOPLE/LEADERSHIP
To be responsible for the supervision of staff, and contribute towards staff training and development.

To support the Delivery Team Leader in the efficient and effective performance management of the team, in developing, prioritising and reviewing its activities.

Also establishing work programmes and targets, ensuring their achievement.
