This role will focus on:


  • Accountable for EHS performance by allocated department
  • Assist in the implementation the 3 year EHSS strategy plan
  • Provide guidance and advice to management
  • Review incidents, identify corrective / preventive actions and ensure adequacy of the close out.
  • Facilitate the collection, monitoring and reporting of EHS statistics and internal reporting.
  • Support line management to investigate incidents and where requested undertake the investigation / lead the investigation team.
  • BBS champion on site, engaging with the programme and coaching leaders. Visible and engaging in the workspace
  • Verify and maintain compliance with internal and external EHS requirements.
  • Support management teams with the development/review of supporting EHS documentation.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training / awareness courses.
  • Provide support in the development of EHS Management system including, safe systems of work, procedures, risk assessments and completion of task / process risk analysis (HAZID, HIRA, FEMA) etc.
  • Support and provide EHS guidance to facilities team and onsite projects.
  • Support and provide advice on infrastructure projects.
  • Undertake active occupational monitoring i.e. noise, vibration, COSHH etc. within the workplace.
  • Carry out site/workshops inspections and compliance audits and monitor the closeout of nonconformances.
  • Support and conduct training where required
  • Monitor energy, waste data and maintain environmental records.
  • Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the business.
  • Participate in monthly meetings when required to report on relevant health & safety matters.
  • Liaise with suppliers i.e. Insurers, solicitors etc if required
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
  • Cover EHSS Managers absence
  • Support and manage ISO ISO14001 legal register and to ensure we are compliant
  • Respond to health and safety related complaints or issues

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Qualifications:

  • Nebosh Diploma essential (NVQ 6 equivalent)
  • IOSH status essential

Experience:


  • Experience in manufacturing and EHS
