Montessori Explorers is recruiting for a highly enthusiastic, innovative, dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our nursery in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.

Suited to someone ready to enhance their practice into management.


We are looking for a compassionate, kind, and caring leader who seeks to motivate and inspire practitioners to work with children and parents to the absolute best of their individual abilities.

Rated as GOOD in our recent OFSTED inspection, we are looking to recruit a Senior Practitioner.


OFSTED 202- Staff help children feel emotionally secure and place a high priority on establishing close relationships with them to help them feel safe They provide a rich quality learning environment, which quickly captures children's curiosity and, consequently, children show high levels of engagement.

  • Staff speak highly of the support they receive. The manager places a high focus on monitoring, coaching and training new staff to help them improve quickly and sustain the good practice._


The Assistant Manager role will contribute to develop a deep respect and love for children and will now be able to expand on this as they work with parents and colleagues to ensure the very best provision for the children.

Create a harmonious and satisfying working environment for the benefit of the nursery. The role involves working with and supporting the Nursery Manager and fulfilling managerial responsibilities in the manager's absence.

  • Oversee and operate a programme of suitable learning and play activities in line with the Montessori Explorers approach and the EYFS, to foster the growth, happiness and development of each child within a beautiful environment.
  • Support staff to be more creative and plan for the needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
  • Lead on the development of activities in the room and support the manager to implement this across the setting
  • Deputise for the Manager and Senior Leadership
  • Support staff in the online journal insuring children make progress in their learning, through affective planning, observation and assessment.
  • Liaise with outside agencies, including Children's Services, health providers, local primary schools, advisory teachers, the local authority and SEN/inclusion agencies
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.

£25,896.00-£29,927.00 per year
