Nigel Wright is delighted to be supporting a company who specialise in the supply of modular buildings across the UK.With a strong order book and ambitious growth plans, our client is now looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager.

Thiswill be a home-based role, with regular travel to customers across the UK and the ability to spend c 2 days per month in the North East office.


Role:


  • Reporting into the director, the BDM will have a national remit to develop profitable sales from lead generation through to receipt of order
  • Develop and implement a clear business growth / development strategy
  • Identify and develop specific leads from market information, centrally provided data and prospecting.
  • Ongoing account management / development of existing relationships to retain and secure repeat business.
  • Sourcing new customers as well as seeking out new opportunities within existing customers and developing new leads.
  • Gain a clear understanding of the strategies being set out by all levels of customers, provide feedback to the business relating to growth sectors within the built environment.
  • Offer technical and product advice to customers, listening to their needs and being able to draft relevant drawings to meet customer requirements and current regulations.
  • Management and development of tender portals and frameworks
  • Identifying opportunities for new products and services that will strengthen the offering to customers and deliver a good return on investment.
  • Delivering quality sales proposals in response to tenders and enquiries from customers.

Experience:


  • A proven track record of sales success ideally in a BDM capacity, coming with a strong contact network within the target customer base
  • A firstclass relationship builder with an entrepreneurial attitude towards winning business
  • Track record in opening new doors, managing the entire sales cycle from identifying and sourcing to securing a deal. You will be expected to hunt and close.
  • Excellent communicator who is comfortable in both technical and commercial discussions
  • A strong network in the construction industry including public sector, main contractors and tier 1 suppliers.
  • Experience of gaining approval to construction industry and public sector frameworks.
  • A natural business developer and networker with the ability to create longterm positive business relationships.
