Account Manager - Telemarketing (sales)

Salary:
up to £28,000 per annum (depending on relevant experience)


Monday - Friday, 8.50am - 5.30pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)

Pitsford, Northampton. Office based. Due to location, you may need a car and driving licence
Match Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of their client based in Northampton. Our client is a well-established professional telemarketing service that works on behalf of their own clients. Their team are encouraged, trained and nurtured with weekly andmonthly mentoring sessions and no silly KPIs, target boards What they do differently to other similar companies is they measure their employees on following the process and their productivity (i.e. making the calls), not just on whether they've successfullybooked a meeting or not. Their quality service and relationships with their long standing clients is the reason they've thrived for almost 30 years.

This is a telemarketing role, which means lots of outbound sales calls. You'll be on the telephone for 80% of your day. You must be comfortable making cold calls to businesses. Still interested? Keep reading.


Role purpose:


The vast majority of your day you will be on the phone, calling through a list of ideal target prospect companies that have been carefully selected for you.

All calls will be to businesses and not random, you will call target companies within your account's(the client you're making prospecting calls on behalf of) specialist industry.

You will be taught product knowledge, how to effectively introduce yourself on these calls and how to handle obstacles that come up.

What we need from you is the confidence and willingness to make these calls. The objective of your calls is not necessarily to get a meeting; that's an outcome of the calls.

You will not be targeted on how many meetings your booked, instead your goal isto explore whether the company you've called is interested in hearing more about the service/ product you're introducing.

Account Managers split their week between two different clients/projects.

As client projects reach conclusion (months-to-years), Account Managers are assigned new client projects where new skills, knowledge, experiences & relationships should be acquired.

For these reasons the Account Managers role is a varied one with great opportunities to learn, grow & develop.
