Ash House Care is an independent children's residential company based in Walsall, South Staffordshire.We are currently recruiting a Care practitioner and wake night care practitioner to work in a 2 bed learning disability home and a 2 bed learning and physical disability home.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people to become the best that they can.We strive to provide outstanding care for young people aged 6-17 with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, ASC and associated behaviours.
As a Child care practitioner you will support young people to enhance their life experiences by empowering them to voice their cultural, ethnic, religious, sexual or social diversity and promote their rights as children and young people.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Being a positive role model for our young people & encourage independence
You will ensure that young people are fully supported with their day to day routines, to include personal care tasks, administering medication
Support young people to take part in activities in the community & holidays
Complete and maintain high standard records for the young people
Develop and maintain professional working relationships
Attend meetings where you will support the young person to have their voice heard
Essential criteria
Experience working in a children's residential setting
Level 3 children and young people qualification or equivalent/above
Be able to undertake sleep ins
Preferably hold a full UK driving licence however this is not essential

Pay:
From £11.50 per hour
Expected hours:
No more than 36 per week
