Legal Assistant - Conveyancing

Romsey, Hampshire

Ideally full time

Permanent

Salary - up to £26k DOE


Our client, Bells Solicitors, is a long-established but forward-looking private client and conveyancing practice offering wills, trusts, probate and powers of attorney together with residential and commercial property conveyancing services.

They are now seeking a dynamic, experienced and reliable
Legal Assistant - Conveyancing to join their successful team based in the heart of Romsey, Hampshire.


Legal Assistant - Conveyancing, the role:

  • Opening files and Digital Dictation
  • Ordering searches, titles and plans
  • Preparing and amending leases as per the instructions of the fee earner
  • Drafting sales contract packs
  • Updating clients, estate agents, brokers and solicitors on the progress of matters
  • Submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax
  • Registering properties at the Land Registry and managing requisitions
  • Making sure all deadlines are met
  • Complying with Conveyancing Quality Scheme protocol

Legal Assistant - Conveyancing, the person:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Possess a professional approach in all forms of communication
  • Enjoys being part of a team and able to meet the demands of a highly pressurised and challenging work environment
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills
  • Selfmotivated, resourceful and task driven
  • Ability to multitask with a positive "can do" attitude
  • Capable of maintaining and developing both internal and external relationships
