Our Chorley site are now recruiting for a Stock Controller
on a full time basis.

£24,150 Per annum

Job Description:

A Stock Controller plays a vital role in maintaining the stock integrity within the warehouse.

With an eye for detail and excellent investigative skills you will already have stock control experience and knowledge of WMS.

Teamwork, communication and tenacity are key attributes, whilst the ability to work pro-actively on your own initiative is also vital to the success of our department.


Key Responsibilities of the Stock Controller:

  • Ensuring all claims investigations are completed in full and responded to within the agreed timescale
  • Ensuring empty location check reporting is complete and report results to the Stock & Administration Manager
  • Ensuring all incidents logged and responded to within the agreed timescales
  • Ensuring there are no incoming / missing pallets over 48hrs old
  • Checking outside warehouses on a daily basis
  • Develop individuals within the team, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential
  • Ensuring the administration department KPI's are achieved and maximum contribution made towards achieving all KPI's
  • Ensuring the stock administration processes are clearly defined and documented, ensuring understanding through training
  • Liaising with Customer Services and Transport to ensure all uplifts are planned and timely return to store
  • Ensuring all goodsin discrepancies are recorded and reported
  • Ensuring ISO requirements are fully satisfied
  • Responsible for recording purchase orders and uniform log
  • Supporting other team members/Manager
  • Completing ad hoc tasks as required

Qualifications:


  • Competent in verbal and numerical reasoning
  • Attention to detail / accurate
  • Ability and willingness to work as effective team member
  • Flexible approach to work / training
  • Selfstarter / able to use own initiative
  • Confident in analysing and acting on data
  • Conscientious and reliable
  • Willing to work shifts
  • PC Literate (Excel and Word or Equivalent)
  • Ideally have working knowledge of a Warehouse Management Systems
  • Ability to deal with changes in priority and can prioritise a number of activities & remain effective
  • Effective Communicator who continuously demonstrates excellent customer service skills
