Job description

Our clients' Estates department has a fantastic opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join their dedicated team of professionals.

Based at their Frenchay campus but covering the entire university estate (predominantly the Bristol area), you will be responsiblefor all aspects of building surveying for all university properties.


Their Estates department is divided equally between a Projects group and an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) group, with the O&M group is then sub-divided into smaller teams, one of which is their Hard Facilities Management team.


By working within a group of discipline and non-discipline specific FM professionals, you will lead and manage the building surveying section of the Hard FM team.


You'll provide a professional Building Surveying and Project Management support service to the University for the provision of maintenance, major alterations and improvement projects, and support the development of the University estate.


They will also be the customer-facing Estates Hard FM Services key client contact to ensure optimal delivery of a service that's reflecting of university business needs.

You are a suitably qualitied building professional with experience relevant to this post.

Although there will be a requirement to manage an extensive property portfolio on a day-to-day and planned basis you will also be expected to deliver FM and capitalprojects from £5k - £500k.


In addition, you will also be responsible for your own health and safety and that of their colleagues, in accordance with the University's health and safety policy.
