We are currently recruiting a

Highways Technician within
Highways Projects Team at
Lancashire County Council .

This is a dynamic, innovative team that delivers major projects across the whole of Lancashire
. We have demonstrated our capabilities to deliver multi-million-pound
highway infrastructure schemes .

This success has gained stakeholder confidence which has meant we are now the "Provider of Choice" for Highways Projects in Lancashire.

We're delighted that through an increase in funding and projects, we are now able to further invest and expand our team.

Many positions have been filled due to our apprenticeships and inhouse development schemes, however we are still seeking more talented individuals to join us with the drive, determination, and ambition to develop their career with Lancashire.

Inspirational, Resilient Leadership - you'll be a self-motivated individual with the ability to lead and inspire others in your team as you'll share knowledge, engage others and encourage group participation to review and respond to the work you undertake - your positive approach will help your team feel valued whilst your approachable nature will help open professional discussions to ensure projects are understood and managed correctly - in addition your resilience will encourage resolve in the wider team as you respond to changes in the network promptly preparing for the unexpected events such as weather and other emerging incidents


Customer Centric - you'll really understand the importance of being a strong positive advocate for your team and the need for customers to be central to our approach - as it's a frontline service you'll relate and communicate daily to a variety of customers such as parish councils, residents, partners, including our own and other council members - therefore how you present and communicate information will be essential as it will be open to scrutiny and debate - so you'll be organised, aware and have confidence in all elements of the projects we undertake whilst having a succinct understanding and adherence to industry regulations and legislation.
