Description

As our current Head of Membership leaves us for pastures new, BASEM is searching for a highly motivated individual to take over the running of BASEM's membership department.

BASEM is a multi-disciplinary medical membership organisation, with a fantastic history being the founding sport medicine body in the UK.

BASEM's membership is made up of over 1000 healthcare and science professionals, in the UK and overseas. This role includes planning, overseeing delivery, and evaluating the success of all of BASEM's membership offer and related activities.

The role will ensure a consistently high standard of member engagement, and aim to increase membership through building the reputation of BASEM's membership benefits.

The role includes managing our awards and bursaries; writing and managing contracts, evaluating and reporting impact, and working closely with our awards and scientific committees.

Our quarterly newsletter BASEM Today, is produced in-house, and the Head of Membership manages key staff and volunteers involved in its production.

BASEM is currently developing its range of member benefits, so you would be joining the organisation at an exciting time as we develop new CRM, additional awards, and career development opportunities for members.

This role is also heavily involved in supporting the organisation of our annual conference, which this year is being held at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester.

We are looking for someone who thrives on a good challenge, can work to deadlines, communicate confidently and professionally, and most importantly, can inspire, develop, and lead people to achieve results.

In return, you will receive an excellent rate of pay, with opportunities for pay progression through our competency framework, a 6% pension contribution, 28 days plus bank holidays leave, and an employee assistance programme.
