£32,000 per year


Our client, a manufacturer of sustainable packaging materials based in Wednesbury requires a Senior Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Successful Senior Team leader will be responsible for overseeing all elements of production withinan allocated zone, including manpower levels, machinery, materials and adherence to production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan review and monitor production schedules
  • Monitor zone performance and report problems with output or capacity as they arise
  • Hold overall responsibility and accountability for the quality and quantity of work produced within your zone and ensures firstoff quality checks are signed off
  • Liaise with the maintenance department regarding breakdowns or planned maintenance
  • Monitor material needs and stock for production areas where required and liaise closely with the Production Manager and planning team
  • Undertake the role and duties of an official key holder and ensures the site is always secure
  • Complete the role of Fire Marshall as part of your routine duties
  • Ensures that quality standards are met, and all issues are reported and investigated
  • Supervise Team members to include training, performance reviews, holidays, sickness, disciplinaries and grievances
  • Organise staffing for overtime and ensure that all required overtime hours are completed in line with planning requirements
  • Continually review current processes and advise of current initiatives and improvements as required
  • Promote and maintain Health & Safety training and procedures
  • Previous experience working within a Production Environment as Team Leader/Supervisor
  • Effective communicator written and verbal
  • Solution driven with good problem solving skills
  • Experience executing and managing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Experience working in a busy shop floor environment
  • Confident when speaking to and challenging team
  • Experience complying to Heath and Safety and production standards
