Production Operator required to work for a medium sized manufacturing company making scientific detectors.


Full training will be provided


Ideally looking for someone who has worked in a manufacturing environment before but someone who may instead have skills outside the work environment making things, carrying out fine detailed work, repairing items will be considered.

Must have high attentionto detail, high quality of work.

  • Preparation and cleaning of components
  • Manual assembly operations some using small hand tools
  • Use of some automated equipment
  • Completion of paperwork, recording data in an accurate and timely manner
  • Possible use of welding and/or soldering (in some roles)
  • Possible use of lathes,mills and drills (in some roles)
  • Measurement of parts and inspection (use of microscope)
  • Adhering to written procedure
  • Communicating problems to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Ability to work well in several teams and manage tasks efficiently
37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (with optional overtime available as business need dictates). 20 days holidays per year plus BH increasing with time served. Bonus scheme.

Salary:
£19,500.00-£21,000.00 per year
