Workchain are currently looking for Conversion/Production Operatives for our prestigious client based in the **Desborough

  • Kettering area.**Our client prides themselves in their manufacturing capability and through their continual investment, we have remained at the forefront of technology in the extrusion, print and conversion processes.

The role:


  • To ensure the smooth running of the conversion machinery is maintained.
  • To run machines safely ensuring all guards are fitted and be aware of all emergency stops before operating.
  • To complete mandatory audit sheet every 30 minutes.
  • Change rolls as quickly as possible to minimise down time and minimise wastage on roll change.
  • Pack according to the specification and put your identifier on every description label.
  • Any problems that arise inform Team Leader or Senior operator immediately and request assistance if necessary.
  • Ensure products are labelled, packed and palletised correctly, safely, securely and neatly ready for transportation to the customer in a presentable manner.
  • Health and safety and any other reasonable request within trained capabilities.

Pay Rate and working hours:


  • Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off, this is a rotation of Days and Nights (weekly rotation)
  • Day shifts 6AM Start and the Night Shift is 6PM start, these are 12 hour shifts.
  • Pay Rate is £11 an hour
- additional £2.75 per hour *attendance bonus, which is paid every 4 weeks.


What we are looking from you:

  • Conversion operative experience (preffered but not essential)
  • Self motivated
  • Exceptional punctuality
  • Great attention to detial.
  • Training can be provided, so experience isn't necessary but is preffered.
