A great opportunity to join a National design company refurbishing over 150 retail shops across the UK which offers stability due to a continuous cycle of projects and projections set and has now been operating this way for over 10 years.


You will join the standing team as a painter working in line with each deadline in order to achieve the set project targets throughout each year.

Each refurb can take anywhere between weeks depending on the size and could situated in any part of the UK so the right person would be expected to travel Monday to Friday afternoon.


All materials and painting is provided should you wish to use your own equipment there is always a safe locked premises which can then be transported to each project after the work is completed.


Job details and benefits:
(Self employed welcome)

£ £18.50 per hour Monday to Friday (10 hours per day)

Time and a half premium for Saturday and double hourly rate for a Sunday.

0.40p mileage covered for any business travel

£ £44.00 per day food allowance depending on distance from home.

Hotel and car park provided for any business travel.

Work night entertainment provided on set days across the year.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and repairing cracks
  • Mix and match paint colours to achieve desired results
  • Ensure that surfaces are properly prepared and painted according to specifications
  • Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
  • Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment when necessary

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a painter or similar role
  • Knowledge of painting techniques and tools
  • Familiarity with different types of paints and finishes
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
