Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic individual looking to make a difference in the lives of young learners? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Chesterfield.
As a Teaching Assistant for a Year 1/2 class, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students' educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the class teacher to provide comprehensive support in delivering a dynamic and engaging curriculum.
- Assist in creating a nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning and positive behaviour.
- Work closely with individuals and small groups of students to provide tailored assistance and guidance.
- Lead Phonics interventions for students below expected levels, helping them build strong foundational literacy skills.
- Provide academic and emotional support to ensure the wellbeing and progress of each student.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities, resources, and displays.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
Requirements:
- Hold a Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Possess prior experience working with Year 1/2 students and a strong understanding of this key stage.
- Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
- Demonstrate a passion for education, a patient demeanour, and a commitment to helping students achieve their potential.
- Show flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive attitude in a fastpaced classroom environment.
- Have a genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the overall success of our school community.
