THE COMPANY
Progressive food business with a combination of brand and own-label products across a number of food categories.
The business is much admired for having a highly positive investment-for-growth strategy, led by a dynamic and driven management leadership team who are looking to achieve further market growth.
As part of their growth strategy, they are now looking to attract a highly talented, commercially minded individual who is looking to step up and further grow their future career within a national accounts team role.
THE ROLE
As part of their investment for growth the Sales Director is looking to strengthen the front line customer management team with the appointment of a dynamic, up-and-coming National Account Executive.
The role will work across the Tesco and discounter accounts, reporting to the Tesco & discounters SNAM, focused on both brand and own-label business activities including product listings, distribution/merchandising, presentations, forecasting and promotional planning/analysis.
Additionally, you will develop your skills and confidence towards dealing with these key customer contacts, with direct customer management responsibility.
You will be given strong support, direction and training from the senior management team, which will provide you with the platform and expectation to step up to NAM level over the next 18/24 months.
ABOUT YOU
The key ingredient required for this role is having the right 'attitude'.
You are likely to be a graduate with a couple of years' FMCG sales experience, gained within a major brand or own-label food or drink business at Regional Account, BDM or Territory Manager level.
Either way, you have a strong understanding of the classical FMCG business objectives as well as the structure of the UK grocery trade and major retail accounts.
