Company Overview:

STAKAM is a small independent chemical start-up that are expanding into new markets and technologies.
With a portfolio of polymers, inorganics and bulk chemicals our business has grown such that we require chemical operators.

Typical working conditions include:

use of fork lift truck, handling and pumping chemicals, utside weather and elements, blowing air, heat, noise, vibration and occasionally working from heights and confined spaces.

Operators must follow safe work practices including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In addition, wipers perform various duties required to keep processing clean and tidy.


Responsibilities may include:

To obey all lawful commands.

To report in work at agreed times.

To submit to normal discipline.

To assist the operations as required

To carry out vessel and equipment cleaning, maintenance and painting duties.

To assist in loading, unloading, discharging, or receipt of any and all equipment, supplies

and chemicals.

To be thoroughly familiar with assigned duties for drills and emergencies.


To report promptly the existence of all potentially hazardous conditions and to cause or effect the commencement of proper remedial or emergency actions to handle or correct the situation.

To maintain personal hygiene, including clothing, and keep living areas in a clean and sanitary condition.

To report promptly to the Supervisor the existence of any personal medical problem or injury.

Ability to work with mínimal supervision as well as within a team

Upholding company values, understanding and implementing all relevant company policies and procedures to ensure all work meets the required standard


Qualifications:


Basic/Required:

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country without restrictions

Must be willing and able to work 12 hour shifts Saturday

  • Must be willing and able to work overtime
Must be willing and able to drive and operate a fork lift truck

Must be willing and able to work in confined spaces such as tanks and silos

Must be willing and able to work near large, hot, high speed machines

Must be willing and able to work near products that are under high pressure and temperature

Must be willing and able to work around chemicals, including acids and bases

Must be willing and able to wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment such as protective footwear, ear and eye protection and breathing apparatus

Must be willing to remove facial hair so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly

Must be willing and able to work with petroleum products that are under high pressure and temperature

Must be willing and able to climb up to 10 meters in height

Must be willing and able to perform fire fighting duties

Must be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions

Must be able to wear the following safety equipment:

  • safety steel toe shoes
- safety goggles
- protective gloves

Pay:
£12.50 per hour


Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Every weekend

Licence/Certification:

  • Fork lift license (preferred)

Shift availability:

  • Day shift (preferred)
  • Night shift (preferred)
  • Overnight shift (preferred)
