General Statement of Duties:

Join the existing team in assisting with all aspects of commercial accounts in external and internal refurbishments and redecoration under a form of JCT contract.

Must be able to assist in the prompt delivery of projects to time, cost and quality and have a strong financial awareness.

Essential Duties
Assistance with the day-to-day planning and preparation of small works estimates/ variations.

To assist Site Managers, Contracts Managers and Directors in all aspect of the projects.

To work closely and cooperate with colleagues in all areas in order to ensure the smooth running of all operations on site.

Abide by company protocols and policies alongside regulatory body's controls and procedures.

To assist in ensuring all health and safety requirements are strictly adhered to.

To assist with all financial aspects made by Site Mangers and Directors.

To liaise with clients on a professional level for the duration of the projects.

Compile weekly adhoc reports for the management team.

Carry out small works estimates that will be issued to clients.

To assist in the production of cash flow forecasts.

Following client pre-start meetings contact all tender quotations to arrange supply chain pre-starts and quotation reviews.

Keeping an up-to-date CVR documents to allow an accurate account to be available fortnightly for senior management review.

To request sub-contractor quotations, compile procurement schedules and offer feedback to the supply chain when they are not successful with their quotations.

Diarising and logging the valuation and certification dates of all main and sub-contract valuations and certification, while working with the team to compile the information on the company system.

To ensure all warranties, guarantees and O&Ms are in place, and fill out sub contractor reviews prior to final account agreements.

Other Duties
Performs such other duties as may be required.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The post holder will be required to have a good level of clerical qualifications in order to manage their own workload effectively.

Must be computer literate and have an excellent organizational, communciations and interpersonal skills; Must have an extensive knowledge, intermediate level, of Microsoft Office Excel/ Words and Projects with an understanding of measurements, specifications, contracts and instructions.

Must have the ability to carry out valuations and costings.

The post holder is desired to be studying for a further education towards a degree in Quantity surveying although this is not essential.

Ability to drive a company vehicle safely if allocated and appropriately, including ability to read and interpret road signs in English; ability to read and to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to establish effective professional relationships with customers, co-workers, and upper level staff and employees; ability to prepare concise and accurate records and reports; skilled in reasoning skills to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions


Acceptable Experience and Training:

Must have CSCS as a minimum necessary qualification.


Certificates and Licenses Required:

Must be able to produce both paper and photo ID driving license with no previous convictions or points; certificates within valid dates of the above qualifications and others if applicable.

Salary:
Up to £30,000.00 per year

• Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

Experience:

- surveying: 2 years (preferred)
