Production Operative

Aura Liberty Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting for
Production Operative, your job will be to process customer garments and items to a high standard following laundry procedures.


You will ensure:

  • Deliver an exceptional service to the customers.
  • That products leave the factory on time and of a high quality to delight our clients.
  • That you maintain a high level of health and safety whilst at work.
  • That you take care of your own health and safety as well as that of your fellow workers by working in a tidy considerate manner.
  • That you follow all training guidance given when operating machinery or a piece of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unloading and presorting of linen, towels and products from the vans and lorries arriving on the loading bay ready for processing.
  • Sorting dirty laundry ready to be washed.
  • Load/Unload the Continuous Batch Washer (CBW) or commercial washer, in the correct manner as trained.
  • Load/Unload the wet/dry products into the dryers as trained.
  • Move linen through factory floor as directed to the next required station for their processing to continue.
  • Complete quality checks on the items as they are fed through the pressing stations and folding stations to the required standard as trained.
  • Any items found below quality, at the press and folding areas place in the correct area for rewash whilst maintaining good productivity.
  • Packing finished items for delivery to our clients and loading linen and other items onto the vans as required.
  • Helping with other general duties within the production facility which may include cleaning, the removal of waste and other duties on site.
  • Ensuring you are adhering to our Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) at the plant and each piece of equipment at all times as trained.
  • Ensure good housekeeping practices are in operation at all times to reduce risks around the plant of trips, slips and fire.


  • Repairer

  • To repair garments using a flatbed sewing machine, overlocker and bar tacking sewing machine to a high standard.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to undertake repetitive tasks whilst maintaining focus.
  • Competent with computers and have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
  • You should also be motivated and committed to the role.
Salary and Hours

PM shifts 2pm 10pm

Education/Experience:

Experience in a high volume production environment is beneficial, but full training will be given.

The role is working on a production line, so you should be comfortable standing for long periods of time, have good manual dexterity and an eye for detail.
