The Opportunity

Due to growth we are looking for talented Manufacturing Team Leaders to support within one of our under water systems facilities.

You'll be integral in ensuring all production is in accordance with the plan and all targets including volume, cost and quality measures are safely met.

As the sole supervisor you will also have the opportunity to significantly contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, kaizen activity and coordinate a team of skilled Technicians and Operators.

Hours:4 day week Monday-Thursday / 37 hours per week

The roles are based out of our Templecombe manufacturing site. You will work a 4 day week Monday to Thursday and work 9.25 hours per day. Start time is flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am and you get 30 minutes unpaid for lunch. There is also free on-site parking and an on-site canteen.


Responsibilities:

• Ensure HSE issues or production concerns are raised and safe working practices followed
• Ensure tools and equipment are fit for purpose and checked
• Plan all the jobs loaded to the shop in accordance with agreed completion dates and report any adjustments
• Responsible for staff development and identify training requirements
• Manage tooling, facility and equipment resources to meet the requirements of the local plan
• Ensure manufacturing activity adheres to the plan and that process lead times, quality standards and budget hours are met
• Responsible for the success of 5S activity in the manufacturing area
• Contribute to continuous improvement activity, support green and black belt projects and coordinate kaizen activity in the facility

About you:

If you've worked as a Team Leader or Supervisor within a manufacturing, production, industrial, engineering or technical environment, and you're comfortable leading a shift autonomously then this could be a fantastic role for you.

• Able to provide direction and guidance
• Identify and understanding the strengths and development needs of your team
• Able to problem solve and resolve conflicts effectively
• Able to demonstrate upholding the vision of the group
• Must have proven recorded of leadership. Ideally form a manufacturing background.

Qualifications:

• City & Guilds Electronics or equivalent.
• ONC/BTEC Electronics or equivalent Key desirable skills required for the position
