Job Description:
We are recruiting for Weekend Care Professionals across Newcastle under Lyme & Stoke on Trent to provide much needed support to our clients out of normal working hours.
The Weekend Care Professionals provide a variety of non-medical domiciliary health care services to support our Clients to remain independent in their own home.
A normal weekend will involve:
- Contributing to a positive living environment to enhance a client's quality of life.
- Documenting daily activities and reporting any significant changes in a client's needs or living conditions.
- Maintaining regular communication with your Line Manager and office colleagues.
- Completing tasks for, and with, the client to include activities such as personal care, housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and most importantly, companionship.
Qualifications:
What you need:
- All roles are for drivers with a full driving license and access to their own vehicle.
- Excellent communication skills.
- You do not need any experience or formal qualifications to become a Care Professional.
Your own life experiences and transferable skills alongside reliability, trustworthiness and respect for others will allow you to build professional friendships.
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to have access to your own vehicle and class 1 business insurance.
Home Instead Will Offer You:

Excellent rate of pay £11.20 per hour Monday to Friday increasing to £12.20 per hour Saturday & Sunday.
Double pay on bank holidays

Mileage contribution of 30p per mile and support with tax relief top up.

- Evenings, alternate weekends as well as the regular weekday visits works perfectly for our client schedules
Minimum 1-hour calls with your own regular matched clients

Once you've successfully completed your training, you'll be carefully matched to your clients and asked to visit them in their own homes.
Your role is to help them feel as comfortable as possible, support them with anything from shopping and cooking meals, to personal hygiene assistance, companionship and social company.
It's really important to be able to build up trust with the client you're visiting so that they feel comfortable with you.
