THE ROLE:


As the HR Advisor, you will support the Senior Human Resources Advisor in ensuring that fair, consistent and transparent employee relations are applied across the Hotel.

You will provide ongoing coaching and feedback to the management team on their handling of employee matters.

You will work with the business to help develop and implement communication and reward strategies that will attract, engage, and develop employees and build upon a high-performance culture, making Cameron House a fair and great place to work.


Key things you will be responsible for:

  • Effective case management of people related issues such as: disciplinaries, performance management, grievances.
  • Aim to resolve employee complaints with an informal resolution before initiating a formal grievance process.
  • You will be confident guiding managers through employee relations cases and have a good understanding of employment law.
  • Overseeing the initial 90 day journey of all new employees; including Day 7 HR catch up, tracking 30, 60 90 day reviews, auditing their quality and attending formal reviews where necessary as HR Support.
  • Proactive management of absence cases both short
- and long-term cases

  • Ownership of the Clan Voice mechanisms clan 'voices in action'; HR Representative on Clan Committee.
  • Flexible Working Requests ensuring the policy is followed and we are complying with our statutory requirements.
  • Management of Maternity and Paternity policies and ensuring both team members and managers have a clear understanding of the process.
  • Continuous CDP is important as an HR Advisor and so you would be expected to keep up to date with Employment Law changes, reviewing our company policies to reflect this.
  • Owning the mental health and wellbeing policy and support mechanisms, championing this for the hotel.
  • Support with Clan Welcome company induction and delivery of the HR Section/LD Sections.
  • Working with the LD Team to Ensure managers are upskilled to deal with people in a fair and effective manner
  • Developing effective relationships within the business to promote good employee relations across the organisation.
  • Monitoring trends in employment practices and advising on appropriate proactive action
  • Embedding and evolving the company vision and values and bringing them to life in an engaging and meaningful way for all employees.
  • Collaborating with the hotel team to nurture and drive a positive company culture aligned to our values. Specifically, collaborating with Operations to drive the culture transformation
  • Supporting with the delivery of regular employee engagement events experiences that deliver against business priorities, drive leadership visibility and bring our values to life
  • Design employee recognition programmes and create support initiatives in priority areas such as employee wellbeing and mental health
  • Leading on the Diversity, Equity Inclusion agenda to make Cameron House an inclusive workplace
