Finance Administrator - Lochgilphead, Argyll & Bute

Salary:
£27,300 per annum


37.5 hours per week

You will get involved in so many different aspects of finance and office administration by helping the Finance Controller, particularly at month end and other financial reporting deadlines.


Your key responsibilities:


  • Assist with the preparation of month end accounts and month end reporting
  • Bank reconciliation and cash book postings
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Data provision for annual audit
Review and reconcile purchasing credit card

  • Preparation of manual invoices as required
  • Management of contract data archive to ensure legal and contractual compliance
  • Support the annual commercial business price review
  • Raise purchase orders (adhoc, quartley and annual) on our computerised system and follow through to goods receipting and manging invoice queries for: overheads and lifecycle spend
  • Provide back up to the weighbridge team for the raising of purchase orders on computerised system and follow through to goods receipting and dealing with invoice queries for purchases
  • Day to day administration of the office such as management of stationery and filing

Your profile:

For us it is important that you feel yourself at home in a small, flexible and flat organisation. If you are looking for a Finance Administrator position where you can help others grow and develop.

  • Recent and relevant finance or accounts administration experience
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and charts and using financial Excel functions)
  • Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
  • Be able to work on own initiative and prioritise workload while also being an integral part of a small team
  • Possess an enthusiastic approach to delivering system and process improvement
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, cohesive working relationships inside and outside the business
Willing to learn Renewi I.T. systems for which training will be given
