The post holder is required to play a proactive part within the Estates Operational Management team to meet Trust objectives in a safe, cost-effective, efficient manner in compliance with legislation and good practice.
The Estates team at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust is undergoing significant change, with significant capital investment in the SGH site - specifically our new emergency and same day emergency care departments and ward refurbishments.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the NHS and make a real difference within a short period of time.
The NHS supports continuous personal development and several staff within the estates team are already being funded to study HNCs.
As the Estates Officer (HV/LV) for the Trust, the post holder will report directly to the Senior Estates Manager and provide effective management and leadership support for Estates Operational Maintenance, Additional Works, Capital Backlog and Maintenance Services, supported by performance management arrangements.
Training will be available in elements required but the post holder will need to have sound engineering skills and be expected to acquire the skills required to support this flexibility in a safe and professional manner.
The post holder will be expected to work across the Trust.
They will be a member of a small group of managerial/technical staff who manage and operate complex technical systems and processes across the Trust, ensuring compliance with Trust standards, procedures and legislation.
They will be appointed as appropriate to named/designated/competent/authorised person roles in keeping with requirements laid down in Hospital Technical Memorandums (HTM) and Health and Safety documentation.
They should be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively lead, motivate and be committed to the development of the department regarding training and staff development.
