About the role
We are looking for an Internal Communications Executive to join our highly experienced Communications team.
Reporting to the Internal Communications Manager and working closely with the Chief Communications and Sustainability Officer, the Internal Communications Executive will help drive our internal communications strategy which aims to engage and empower our people in the day-to-day running of the airport and inspire them to participate in our longer-term strategic goals.
You will be part of a busy and dynamic communications team where you'll bring energy and creativity to our internal communications activity.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering innovative and timely internal communications that delivers our key messages and engages our employees
- Managing our internal communications calendar of communication meetings, educational sessions and events
- Maximising our internal communication platform Gate 8 to build relationships within our teams
- Creating, developing and producing a range of content using a variety of methods such as copy, graphics, video, photography, blogs and newsletters
- Collaborating with relevant managers across the business to meet internal communication needs
- Measuring and evaluating Internal Communications activities and campaigns
- Working with the wider Communications team to maintain an understanding of community, media and other issues impacting the airport and react with internal messaging accordingly.
This list is not intended to be exhaustive and you will be expected to perform other duties and have other responsibilities that fall within the wider remit of the role.
What we're looking for
Key strengths:
- Communication you have strong written and verbal skills
- Team player you love working in dynamic teams and are an excellent team player
- Enthusiasm you have a positive, proactive and hardworking approach
- Selfstarter you can run with tasks on your own and can work under pressure and to deadlines
- Creative you like to deliver creative and innovative communications
- Technical ability you have good working knowledge of MS Office, video editing and graphic design software as well as intranet content management systems
Nice to have, but not essential:
- Qualifications and experience relevant to the role specifically a PR or communications related degree
- Member of a relevant association for example CIPR, CIM, IoIC.
- A lover of puns, cake and quizzes
