About the role
The role of Senior Payroll Officer sits within the People & Culture (P&C) team at Trinity. Working with our payroll partner Cintra this role provides a seamless service to Trinity College London and subsidiaries.


Full ownership of the end-to-end payroll cycle for the UK and our international subsidiaries, performing all payroll related activity including but not limited to, processing new starters, salary changes, deductions, processing overtime and allowances and reporting.

The role also assists with the administration of various employee benefits both for the UK and international subsidiaries.

This role works closely with colleagues across the People & Culture and Finance teams.


About you

  • Maintaining an accurate payroll processing system. Collating, checking, reviewing and inputting payroll data such as joiners, leavers and employee changes, ensuring accuracy and validity of payroll documentation.
  • Accurate input processing relevant statutory deductions, including attachment of earnings, court orders in line with payment deduction agreements
  • Acting as first point of contact for payroll queries, dealing promptly with employee issues/concerns and escalating when necessary.
  • Processes the annual salary review (April) with the support of the P&C Business Partner.
  • First point of contact for the pension schemes including ensuring information is accurate and relevant communication on changes to the schemes is provided to employees.
