We are looking to recruit a Shift Inspector to undertake routine testing and inspection. To ensure compliance with quality systems and customer requirements.Bodycote operates an international network of facilities serving a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive, power generation, oil & gas, construction, machine building medical and transportation. Main responsibilities:
- Raising of data cards and build sheets to ensure compliance with customer drawings and specifications
- Carry out testing requirements on heat treated components
- Prepare release documentation
- Check compliance to Quality Systems and customer specifications
- Maintain daily check requirements
- Assist in operation of S.O.P. and job identification systems
- Coordinate Quality records retention
- Assist in preparation for and participate in External Quality Audits
- Maintain good working practices and housekeeping in line with company health, safety, environmental and quality systems
- The jobholder must communicate with management/production and transport personnel to maximise the efficient operation of the facility
- Recognise potential improvement in testing methods and procedures with a view to "cost effective" operation
- Liase with customers to develop positive customer/supplier relationships
- Prioritise inspection requirements
Qualifications, experience and skills:
- Good general standard of education
- Team working is essential as is the understanding to seek advice when unsure
- Experience of working in a Heat Treatment facility would be advantageous as would experience of working in a Lab environment
- Formal Qualification and or relevant experience including knowledge of Quality Systems/Inspections procedures
- Good PC and communication skills
- Ability to manage work load
