About the role.


The structures team cover a varied role but are primarily responsible for the design, inspection and maintenance of the Councils highway structures.

It is expected that the applicant would be a chartered civil/structural engineer with extensive post qualification experience.


Knowledge is required of contract procedures and administration along with civil engineering design and site supervision related to structures and a requirement to be proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.


You should have experience in the design, assessment and maintenance of bridges and other highway structures and would possess good organisational and communication skills along with asset and project management skills and principles.

Current driving licence or means to mobility support is required.
