Key Accountabilities
(Including but not limited to)**:

Safety

  • Maintain knowledge of INEOS safety rules and provide feedback to personnel to follow them. Assure practices conform with INEOS IGGNs and escalate any issues seen.
  • Promote the INEOS 20 Principles and LSR's (Life Saving Rules)
  • Understand emergency response procedures and conduct emergency response actions, coordinating with Incident control as required.
  • Perform safe chemical handling activities including tanker discharge.
  • Accountable for Tanker discharge being carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Plan work and coordinate activities, including permit to work issue for maintenance activities.
  • Undertake guided plant tours and check assets are operating correctly and safely.
  • Undertake basic risk assessments, including accident/incident follow up and loss investigations.
Quality

  • Undertake basic quality activities including sample taking and analysis.
  • Ensure effective and efficient housekeeping practices in area of responsibility. Own housekeeping standards for H3 area
  • Work cross functionally across all areas of accountability and deputise for "Shift Lead" if required.
  • Ensure plant tours / audits/ plant integrity checks are carried out regularly and follow through on actions as applicable.
  • Attend the QC/ Making DDM (Daily Direction Meeting) and lead this session on occasion.
Functional

  • Write and/or review operating procedures and provide appropriate coaching / training.
  • Monitor and control waste and effluent from the H3 production process.
  • When required, operate plant from control room including start up, shutdown and abnormal operation control. Escalate immediate alarm intervention to Site Engineer.
  • Control plant by HMI/DCS interface as required.
  • Understand abnormal asset running conditions and remedial actions.
  • Record data accurately and complete all necessary reading sheets / check sheets including the handover.
  • Understands production planning process, KPI measurements and resource planning to monitor and optimise resource efficiency. (Desired)
  • Work with functional leads to link production and maintenance activities to maintain output where required.
  • Active participation in cost reduction and improvement projects. Lead on occasion and where applicable.

About You:

We are seeking an experienced Process Operator.

Additionally, the following are essential requirements for the role:


  • Qualified to Level 3 in a relevant engineering or production discipline e.g. ONC / NVQ Level 3 (Desirable).
  • Detailed and practical understanding of safe systems of work in a Chemical / FMCG Processing environment
  • Understanding of process flow and process improvement in a Manufacturing environment, preferably gained in chemical / FMCG processing environment.
  • Experience of supervising, mentoring or coaching members of the team (Desirable)
