Are you a self-motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic individual looking to take their first step into an administration career in the NHS? If so, this apprenticeship post could be just what you are looking for.

An opportunity has arisen for a Catalogue Apprentice within the Procurement Team at UHB.

To qualify for the apprenticeship role the minimum criteria is:

  • You must have GCSE in English and Maths
  • Have not completed an apprenticeship at the same level and sector in the past.
The role will be based at the BSOL PC offices, Regent Court Birmingham.


If you are a quick learner, proactive & can see yourself providing excellent administration support & organisation skills, this could be the apprenticeship opportunity for you.

You will be undertaking the 'Data technician L3 Apprenticeship Standard' on a 24-month fixed term contract.


Main duties, tasks & skills required:

There is a requirement to be able to provide a high level of accuracy when transposing information/data from suppliers in relation to part numbers, product description and unit of measure when updating the catalogue system.


The ability to deal with a high volume of data and achieve consistent high level of accuracy using excellent organizational, time management and working on own initiative is essential to this role.

Qualifications:


Essential:


  • GCSE A-C (or 49) or equivalent in
- maths and English or

  • Functional Skills Level 2 or above.
  • Willingness to undertake Level 3 data technician Apprenticeship Standard within the 24 months contract.

Experience:


Essential:


  • Working within a team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, especially excel and word.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under supervision and confidence to seek advice when appropriate.
  • To be able to work to deadlines.
