Job overview:


St Austell Community Nursing Team are looking to recruit an Administrator to help with day to day running of a busy Community Nursing Team.


The nursing team is friendly and proactive covering a wide geographical area under the St Austell Healthcare Cluster Primary Care Network.

We work with many and varied disciplines within this area which requires organisation and coordination.


The successful applicant will need to be a resilient problem solver able to work alongside other administrative and clinical colleagues.


The post holder will work within the Community Nursing Team and be responsible for general administration duties and use of Cornwall Partnership Foundation Trust (CFT) IT systems for work rosters, equipment requisitioning and stock control as well as some front of house duties including telephone calls with patients, relatives and clinical staff.

A friendly manner and a good sense of humour with a professional approach is essential.

Main duties of the job:


  • The purpose of the post is:
  • To support the Community Nursing Team and other clinical teams with all aspects of administrative duties. To act as the first point of contact for communications between patients, visitors and health professionals (both internal / external).

Key Dimensions of the post are:

  • To provide administrative functions within a Community Nursing team. Assist with Strata referral system. This will require covering of the service over 7 days with some unsocial hours on a rota system.
